Unique character with Moroccan tiles
We have a new business partner who supplies the most beautiful Moroccan tiles in beautiful dusty colors and patterns. They require a little more work than regular ceramic tiles, as they, among other things, must be impregnated. They also cost quite a bit more than the white classic tile, but they are totally worth it. The Moroccan tiles can give any room a very special touch, and because each and every tile is handmade, size and thickness may vary slightly. It helps to bring life to the tiled wall or floor.

Here, a tile with a Backgammon pattern in black and white has been used in the shower niche. The brass fitting is from Vola . Below you can see the tile in use behind the sink.
Moroccan tiles in the kitchen
The same tile chosen for use in a kitchen, but in a dark blue tone instead of black. Here, the tiles are installed vertically on a free-standing chimney with a “Manhatten-grey” silicone joint. Brass moldings from the blacksmith’s workshop have been installed in the corners. In the same kitchen, the customer has also chosen a dusty blue wall with “Diamond concrete” tiles. The combination of the two different Moroccan designs has a nice interplay, without interfering in any way, as they do not adjoin each other.
Below is another solution chosen for the kitchen. A white glazed Moroccan tile used over the hob. It is installed with a black joint that emphasizes the fine shape of the tiles. Also note the beautiful hood cover in oak. You can read more about such a one here.
