First phase of total contract.

We are well underway with the first phase of the complete renovation of Det Gule Hus. There is still a long way to go, but in this presentation you can follow a little about which processes a turnkey contract includes.

Emptying the house

The house has practically been emptied. All old ceiling panels have been removed, and a new vapor barrier and new ceiling formwork have been installed. In the bathrooms, all the sanitary ware and furniture have been taken down, the tiles have been knocked down and the floors have been knocked up. So now it is ready for the walls to be plastered and new pipes for water and underfloor heating to be laid. Unidrain drains will also be installed in both bathrooms.

New life for old walls

The old yellow brick walls have been felted and will subsequently be painted white. It gives a more modern look, and looks really nice in combination with the new windows. Unfortunately, they will only be delivered in 5-8 weeks. Delivery time is an important element to remember in projects like this, so that you plan and use the time as best as possible.

The electrician has run new cables in the ceilings, and has prepared for new spots and ceiling outlets throughout the house.

The next step in this thorough renovation is the installation of 2 layers of plaster on all ceilings. The floors in the bathrooms must then be plastered and cast. All the old radiators must be taken down and the old wooden floors throughout the house must be taken up. A new wooden structure must be made, a slab floor with tracks for underfloor heating and underfloor heating hoses must be laid. And then it’s time to lay new wooden floors throughout the house.
